By using locally sourced fruit and vegetable raw materials, we strengthen the value of our brands and our Company, while also helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions related to transportation.

Our approach to sustainable agriculture is guided by our core value: Integrity. The close relationship we maintain with our producers leads to mutual support and a shared goal — to ensure high-quality fruit, year after year. This bond, built over time, is directly reflected in the excellence of the final product.

In 2024, we reinforced our commitment to increasing the use of locally sourced fruits and vegetables. It was a year dedicated to market exploration: new areas, new fruits, new suppliers, and new partnerships.

Our goals included:

• Diversifying origins to reduce unpredictability in supply;
• Mitigating the risk of shortages due to adverse weather by distributing suppliers across different geographic areas;
• Extending the campaign period through effective management of fruit ripening from various origins.

And we've reaped great rewards:

• 38,720 tonnes of fruit processed in Almeirim
• 146 hectares of dedicated orchard area
• 85% of processed fruit from Portuguese origins
• 53.9% of fruit and vegetable raw materials sourced and/or processed locally*

*Local = origin and/or processing within a 1,000 km radius of Almeirim.
