The Board of Directors of Sumol Compal has appointed Duarte Pinto as Vice-President of the Board of Directors of Sumol Compal, with responsibility for the Strategy area. The Board of Directors of Sumol Compal Marcas has appointed Diogo Dias as President of the Executive Committee (PCE) of this company, succeeding Duarte Pinto in the role, effective from September 10. Duarte Pinto presided over the Executive Committee of Sumol Compal Marcas for the past 15 years and will continue to be part of this Committee until the end of the current term as Vice-President, a position he will hold concurrently with the Vice-Presidency of the Board of Directors of Sumol Compal. Diogo Dias, the new President of the Executive Committee (PCE) of Sumol Compal Marcas, holds a degree in Business Management from Universidade Católica and joined the Sumol Group in 1998. Over these 26 years, he has held various management, directorial, and administrative positions, being Vice-President of the Executive Committee of Sumol Compal Marcas and Director of Sumol Compal before being appointed to assume the new roles. These changes aim to renew and adjust the functioning of the respective Boards of Directors, in order to strengthen their capacity to successfully address future challenges in a rapidly changing external context.
