XXIV Congress of Nutrition and Food - "Compal da Horta: Transformation Hand in Hand with Innovation"

We were present at the XXIV Congress of Nutrition and Food, held in Braga, with our brand Compal da Horta. This event, organized by the Portuguese Nutrition Association, is recognized as the largest national congress dedicated to nutrition and food.

During the congress, visitors had the chance to explore our new range of vegetarian meals, including Chickpea Curry, Bean Chili, and Lentil Bolognese. Additionally, we introduced a brand-new Tomato Products category, set to be launched soon.

Our participation was enriched by the symposium "Compal da Horta: Transformation Hand in Hand with Innovation," led by Sofia Dinis, Nutrition and Health Manager, and Elisabete Galiano, Head of Strategic Management for the Vegetables and Tomato Products Category. The session covered topics such as the importance of distinguishing between ingredients and process, the advantages of industrial food processing, the production method behind Compal da Horta vegetarian meals, which closely mirrors home cooking, and how the brand continues to evolve and innovate with the future in mind.

This year’s congress also highlighted key subjects, such as nutritional needs throughout life, supplementation during pregnancy, and late motherhood, bringing together over 1,500 specialists to discuss the relationship between time and nutrition. Other topics explored included childhood eating habits, food selectivity in autistic children, and the impact of nutrition on fertility.

The presence of Compal da Horta reinforced the importance of balanced nutrition and the development of innovative products that align with consumer trends and needs.

It was an inspiring event and a fantastic opportunity to exchange knowledge and strengthen partnerships in the field of nutrition!
