Under the theme “Choosing to Make a Difference,” the II Recruitment Forum took place on September 25 and 26 at Teatro Thalia in Lisbon. Organized by the Air Force Recruitment Center, the event brought together human resources specialists to discuss best practices and strategies for talent retention in companies and institutions.
Carla Pombeiro, Director of People and Culture at Sumol Compal, stood out among the guest speakers by emphasizing the strategic role of Internal Communication in talent retention.
“Internal Communication goes beyond the simple transmission of information; it is essential for building a solid and inspiring organizational culture. It should reflect the organization’s purpose and values, fostering alignment among employees in their daily activities. This alignment is fundamental to strengthening the sense of belonging, which significantly contributes to talent retention,” she stated.
The forum provided a space for exchanging ideas and experiences on the main recruitment challenges. The speakers addressed topics such as organizational culture, employee well-being, and the impact of these areas on talent retention. The discussions enriched the understanding of how integrated strategies can be implemented to strengthen the attraction and retention of professionals in both the private and public sectors.
The event reaffirmed the importance of innovative practices and a human approach to facing the current labor market challenges, offering valuable contributions to the future of recruitment in various organizations, including the Air Force.
