Descarbonization Pombal and Gouveia

The current project, titled "Green Industry 2025 – Sumol Compal Decarbonization", aims to decarbonize the industrial units of Sumol Compal located in Pombal and Gouveia, as well as to promote a paradigm shift in the use of resources. In doing so, it supports the implementation of the National Energy and Climate Plan 2030 and contributes to accelerating the transition towards a carbon-neutral economy.

The project includes the installation of a photovoltaic power plant for self-consumption at the Pombal industrial unit, as well as the implementation of energy efficiency measures at both locations. These actions will bring clear energy, economic, and environmental benefits, allowing for a reduction in the use of natural gas and LPG, and thus decreasing the facilities' dependence on fossil fuels.
